Smoked Elk Roast
If you’ve never had smoked elk, you’re truly missing out. This Smoked Elk Roast recipe is incredibly flavorful and very easy to smoke.
- Z Grills Pellet Smoker
- Elk Roast
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Preheat your pellet smoker to 180 °F.
- Coat the entire roast with olive oil, salt and pepper or your preferred rub.
- Put the elk roast on the smoker racks and smoke for 60 minutes.
- Increase heat to up to 400 °F and cook until it reaches your desired internal temperature. 130°F for medium rare, about an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the meat from the smoker and let it rest for 5-10 minutes and carve the meat into thin slices. Enjoy!
