Smoked Elk Roast
If you’ve never had smoked elk, you’re truly missing out. This Smoked Elk Roast recipe is incredibly flavorful and very easy to smoke.
- Elk Roast
- Olive Oil
Preheat your pellet smoker to 180 °F.
Coat the entire roast with olive oil, salt and pepper or your preferred rub.
Put the elk roast on the smoker racks and smoke for 60 minutes.
Increase heat to up to 400 °F and cook until it reaches your desired internal temperature. 130°F for medium rare, about an additional 15-20 minutes.
Remove the meat from the smoker and let it rest for 5-10 minutes and carve the meat into thin slices. Enjoy!
